There is a local offroad shop here that has a matching set of axles that came off a 79 bronco. There is the high pinont Dana 44 with radious arms and 4.10 gears and a 9" with 4.10s also. He is asking $500 for the set. Seemes like a good deal to me. What do you guys think?

That's not a bad deal, I'd like to pay less myself (cuz I'm cheap), but if everything is there, brakes to brakes front and rear, it's worth it. Maybe offer him $400 ???

The last set of Chevy 3/4 ton axles I picked up, complete with 4.10's cost me $400

I picked up a set of D60's from a Dodge from a local junkyard for $600, complete, brakes to brakes, 4.10's and rear trac-lock

Sounds like a great price to me if they're complete.

for what it's worth, I bought TWO complete dana 44's with 4.10s for $100 each....I personally wouldn't pay that much. That offroad shops knows they're worth money. I would start calling around to little hole in the wall JY's and asking if they have the axles. You can usually pick them up dirt cheap.

Exactly, that's how I got the last couple sets I picked up that I needed.

Like I said above, I'd probably offer the guy $400, he might take it and that's totally worth it and a decent deal.

Ok ill look around. A bit more. The axles are complete. They both have breaks and hold oil still.
