Does anyone know where to find a set of spindle studs for a 94 ranger? Little buggers are wrecked from a good beating, but from what I've come to hear they are a discontinued part.

do you know the thread size and pitch?

its a 3/8-16 i think? or very close, about 1/3in spline ~1in thread

I'm in the process of putting in new BOLTS in place of the studs. I am having to add shims under the spindles to get the caster/camber in and now the studs are to short so I'm replacing with Grade 8 bolts. I would offer my old ones but I have Dana 44 knuckles and I don't know if the studs are the same or not. Your welcome to these though. Let me know.

Studs are located on Broncograveyard.com Search stud and it will give you a 3/8 stud for an EARLY bronco. There's none available for our ranger's. If you want I can send you one out. Send me a PM if you're interested. Im sure it would be cheap as hell.

Do NOT add anything under the spindle to try an correct camber/caster. That is the most retarded and dangerous thing I've heard in a while!

Get the proper camber/caster eccentrics for the upper balljoint.

Lol you've never worked at an alignment shop, have you? They SELL shims to put behind your spindle to correct the camber. Thats the only way you could back in the day. :icon_rofl:

Just cuz they sell em or was done in the past doesn't make it right :icon_confused:

Booty fab if I ever seen it.

Actually I do on average 5-10 alignments per week at the dealership I work at. I have never added any goofy ass shim under a spindle.

Those 5 little studs that hold the spindle on are under tension, the spindle fits inside the knuckle with a tight fit to take the shear load. Once you start adding shims under one portion of the spindle you are now trying to bend those studs when you tighten the spindle down. Most definitely not something I will ever do to mine or any customers vehicle.

Yes but they are tapered and cock the spindle on the studs which when tightened down will stress the studs. Not the right way to do it when there are eccentrics avaliable which is the proper way to adjust it anyways.

I do have the proper camber/caster eccentrics for the upper balljoint. I have the largest availalbe in now and still need more. The shims are safe or they would have never used them nor would they still be available to purchase. BTW there are 6 studs.

I have already replaced the drivers side with grade 8 bolts. Can't wait to get the other side done and the alinement done so I can start driving it to work again.
