daily doubler build

Yeah, Mid-Illini Jeep Club. I thought they would've had someone lined up locally that would hook them up with material, guess not. Damn jeepers.

Thanks Neal, I'll check out Bessler. I've got some time till spring break so it doesn't hurt to look around.

Ballistic order came in

and high steer is on its way :icon_thumby:

Those the new Forged joints? I'd like to see those sometime.

How's the UE treatin' ya??

Yeah they're the new forged joints. They appear to be pretty nice pieces. You have till the week of March 15th, otherwise you'll have to check em out under my truck :D

The UE is goin I guess. The automated certification process got confused when I stated I was going to school (after winter break) so I didn't get paid for 3 weeks till I got that all straightened out. Once it was taken care of, I got my 3 weeks of back pay and am back on my "normal schedule".

Jobs are still hard to come by. A lot of students in the Practicum program have been layed off/let go. I understand they're cutting back and only keeping the positions that are needed, but I'd think they'd keep the Practicum guys. What (relatively) little they're paying them is an investment in their future.

Yeah, that's about the only upside to it haha.

Well.............HAPPY BIRTHDAY DUDE :icon_cheers:

Yeahyeah, I just saw that it's your birthday today, I hope you had a good one!

Haha thanks guys! Didn't do anything special today, but my high steer stuff came in. I guess that's my birthday present to myself haha.

Thursday morning is my last day of class then spring break starts. Daily progress updates will be given then. Stay tuned...

Dang, Just looked through this whole build. And all I have to say is Wow. Your truck looks good. Can't wait to see how the sas goes.

P.S. I hear you on the UE. I've been laid off since July 31. It suck big time.

If you ever get the chance, I'd love to take some dimensions off your doubler shaft.

I saw some pictures from the bog last weekend. It looked decent, but I'm starting to get tired of mud again. It's so anti-climactic.

EDIT: one more thing, if you get a chance, can you take one additional measurement for me? I'm wanting to know the distance from the center of the spring to the frame rail... Thanks!
