Cutting heater box to clear turbocharger?

I've tried searching, but I've probably tried starting off on the wrong foot.


Who here has cut their box to clear their turbo and how did you do it? What tools did you use? Where and what do you measure to get the most effective use of it when you plasti-weld that piece back in place?


Hope to hear something soon, I'm really starting to hate being in my truck when it's dipping below 0* F.
 
Well, my box is cut up right now. I am waiting for the damn plastic epoxy to dry and harden up before I can go on to the next piece. This is going to take ALL DAMN DAY Sunday if my prediction is correct.


I kinda did it the hard way, but I didn't quite have the best advice (try none).


I'll post up the process I went through when I'm done. Trying to take good pics as I go.
