My credo
What's the worst that could happen?
I found and posted a query in one of the cruise control posts below, but it doesn't seem to be garnering much attention, so I thought I would repost the query as a new post. Apologize beforehand,.
I see a wealth of info on installing an aftermarket unit, but it looks like the images are missing.
Anyway. never realized mine is not working since I haven't been driving it. Fuses are all goo and I have brake lights. No lights on IP and the self-test described in the other post does not work on my Ranger.

I have pulled the module from behind the glove box and will do some multimetter work later today with what I can find about how to do that.

Again, sorry for reposting this.

Below is the wiring I have for 1994 Cruise

Does your horn work?
If not that could be the problem

The horn fuse powers the cruise ON button
When horn relay is not grounded by horn button there is 12volts on its wire in the steering wheel, when you press the ON button that 12v goes to the Cruise Module activating it
Off button Grounds that same wire turning off the module

The control wire, set/accel, coast, resume, are just resistors, measured to ground

If the ground wire in the steering wheel was bad, no horn and no cruise

Awesome! Thanks.
Yes the horn works. I did replace the ignition switch a long while ago and can't remember using the CC after that. But, it would'nt be a bad idea to go back in and see if I f'ed something up.

Just check if you have 12v on the blue/green wire at the module, with key ON, from fuse #6, 10amp

Well...my battery is low, but I am getting the same voltage +/- as my battery cuz it is on a constant charge - cuz I keep forgetting to turn the f-ing key off when I am, done

Ok, battery is at 12.65 and I am getting that at the blu/grn wire at the module.
