Hey all, I don't know how this applies to everyone. Here we have a grocery store chain with fuel rewards. Basically you get a discount on gas with grocery purchase. Well we buy a lot of groceries so we were up to about a buck 80 off so my ranger and two gas cans got filled up to max out our 30 gallons.

That was the first tank of gas I ever had ping with in a RBV. Never in my old 94, never in my explorer, never in my sport trac never in the new 94.
Giant gas sucks.
Next tank from exxon was fine. It sucks cause it can save you about 30 or 40 bucks at a shot, but I guess you get what you pay for:bawling:

If you save that much on the gas get some STP fuel treatment,it's cheaper by the 3 pack.

I use the grocery store gas with rewards. All my vehicles run just as well with it as any other gas. :dunno:

Sunoco does the same thing. For every 50 dollars you spend at price chopper you can get 10 cents off and it adds up.

They limit us at 20 gallons though. Lucky.

This was at martin's/ giant

I see wies markets has a deal with sheetz the same way. I've always heard bad things about sheetz gas, but never got ping with it, just water back in the day before ethanol.

fuel treatment probably wont help pinging, but an octane booster would. either way its still worth the price difference even if you use a bottle of each.

I work for a Kroger that sells gas and gives discounts.... every few of our stores are bad places to get gas... DONT go to grocery stores for gas, it will always be shitty and have some water in it, DONT go to sams club/walmart, lowes/home depot, grocery stores etc...just go to regular gas stations, if you can go to shell

on a side note, most grocery stores get
Exxon, BP, etc etc most common gas

just someway somehow these places turn the gas to shit water gas

Good grief...

Grocery store gas is no different from the fuel you purchase at any other chain gas station. It will burn exactly the same. Kroger, Martins, Sheetz, Exxon, Shell, etc... It doesn't make a BIT of difference.

top tier fuels are different, not as far as base gasoline, but the additives put into it. I work on vehicles day in and out. People that use the cheapest gas they find usually run into egr ports pluging, and have even seen carbon get to the point of holding a valve open.
