crank no start 01 4.0L

I was on my way home from work one day when the truck randomly shutdown. like it died so I tried starting it back up and it would only crank would not fire. it has plenty of gas in it and when we went to diagnose it, we had tried ether and did not want to fire at all still just cranked. i had a buddy test for spark and he said there was no spark not sure how much I trusted it but i changed the camshaft sensor, crankshaft sensor, checked all my fuses, and changed the ignition coil pack. still no luck. what could it be need fixed asap!!!!

Always start with the 50/50 test.. the Cosby sauce.. ether..

If it fires on spray it's a fuel issue, if it doesn't.. spark.

Since it did not fire on starting fluid, and you said no spark. It on the firing side. Get a test meter and usually you can test the coil with resistance checks. One of the toughest problems I had had twice was new parts and truck ran worse then when I started. Bad parts out of the box is getting to be a common problem. One was a new coil wire and one was a coil. Both new. I dont know the 4.0 so not much help on that. Even recently I got a bad Fuel Pressure Regulator. A Haynes manual is usually pretty descent on testing parts.
