Ok, I'm fed up with this problem, I'm not sure how it happened or what I did, but I'm having a problem with page sizing in MS Word. What it's doing is shrinking pages heightwise to just show the area where text is on the page.:flipoff:

I want to see the whole page, not just where I have text, when I do a research paper and do the title page and stuff it shows up as just a tiny slip of paper on the screen, if that makes sense.

I tried to capture a screenshot of the issue so I could post that up to make sure everyone understood what exactly my complaint is, but either I have forgotten how to do the print screen thing or something else isn't working right on my comp.

I've played with the settings for awhile now trying to figure out how to undo what I did to cause this issue with the pages, but I haven't been successful and it's driving me nuts. I must have fumbled over some obscure command to cause it cuz it wasn't like this when I first installed it on my comp.

Running XP SP2, using Word 2002. If I can figure out how to do a screenshot again I'll post up a pic of what I'm talking about.

To use PrintScreen, just push the button once while your looking at what you want, then open MS Paint and go to Edit>Paste

Unfortunatley, I don't have Word, but my first guess is something in the View menu at the top, like Reset Window, or Restore to Defaults. I have it at work, I'll check tomorrow

I must be doing it right then... when I try to paste though it says that it can't copy from clipboard or something stupid like that. MS sucks!

thats your problem right there....

i know this wont fix MS Word, but you could always download OpenOffice and use it rather than word
Already have it... but I can't use it all the time because I haven't figured out a way to save files so that they will open fine in Word (I'm taking some classes online and all assignments have to open in their respective MS programs).

What happens when you select View>print layout?
That's what view I typically use, I tried changing to normal view and back with no resolution to my problem.
