If it does not blow the engine, you did good.
It is good to be back... I just got back from a one year deployment on the Turkish/Syrian border. I went to Vehicle Inspection today on Pulaski Kaserne in K-Town, to get my 2011 Ranger inspected. The back up lights only come on when I hold the shifter between P and R, it then works perfect. I have read the thread and watched the video about ajusting the shifter, yet will this also solve the issue of getting the back up lights on? I am getting ready to PCS and need my Ranger...

Any tips would be greatly appreciated...

Thanks,

Bruce

The switch should be on the transmission, usually when the light is coming on "Between gears" the transmission is actually in gear. The cable from the shifter to the transmission has stretched or not adjusted correctly. Other signs of this is when the truck is in drive and the needle might be between D and N or D and 2.
