So some guy on the explorer forums did a coil swap:

I was wondering if I could just leave the torsion bars in to support the control arm then gusset out the upper shock mount and beef up the lower shock mount like he did on his expo, so that way it would lift the frame. What's the point of the limit strap? If I left my t bars in wouldn't it support the a arm? I wanna do this because it seems cheaper and easier to get 5" of suspension lift out of that sort of setup. And the ride quality seems like it may be better, let me know if I'm crazy though
