im dropping the trans today and cant figure out how to remove the clutch cable its a 95 ranger 5 speed i put in my 92 ranger i am trying to do this with lil to money and would really hate to buy another cable the first one broke when i put this trans in. the cable we put in it i think was 40 bucks and i really dont have the money need help please!!!!:icon_confused::icon_confused:

Is the white collar still on it?

no it was a metal insert looking thing. but i just went to get the tool it was only 6 bucks and only needed it for like 30 seconds. so waste of money lol. but i got it now having trouble with the bolts on the top of the trans.:annoyed:

the 2 stupidest parts to dropping the tranny is getting the tranmission over the exhaust pipe and if you try and remove the pipe probably going to break the bolts off in the manifold. I have a friend that would jack his cab up to give clearance but i ended up cutting the pipe and welding back together after but that wasnt easy to fix either. hahah ford and there stupid internal slaves.

haha yeah while dropping the trans the damn cross member for the trans has a 5/8in nuts and a 1/2 or 15mm bolts i just used a tire iron on the bolts and a wrenchet on the nuts. but instead of dropping the trans i just decided to take the oil sensor out and put pvc tape on it and bolt it back in that what i was dropping the trans for cause i wanted to clean the oil pan out and mod the pickup tube on the oil pump but its cold and i was getting sick of the job lol. but its back in and trying to get the damn oil filter off and all its doing it crushing. so tried the screw driver in the side pretty much just turned in to a can opener. any tips???:annoyed::shok::annoyed:
