Clunk in steering wheel ONLY when AC is on and cold

I am sorry if this is somewhere else in this forum but I could not figure how to narrow it down enough to find this topic if it is out there. Exactly what the title says. I only feel it in the steering wheel just driving down the road and little ripples in the road I can feel a sharp clunk in the steering wheel and it only does this when the AC has been on and fully cold. Turn the AC off and after awhile when the lines etc warm up the clunk stops. I can only think that something is shrinking when it is cold and becoming loose. Has anyone experienced this or know what the deal is?

Only thing I can think of is that some of the lines for the PS might run close to the cold side line for your AC... once it gets cold, the PS gets a pocket of cold fluid (denser) that goos up the system.
