Chrysler with a wiring problem!

Chrysler doesn't even follow the rules of basic wiring diagrams. There are standardized symbols! I use to yell at lockheed martin and northrop grumman for their welding blueprints because they just made up symbols. These are the highest tech people on earth and can't understand a basic weld symbol?

Ford can't understand a keyway.

But diamond incrusted washers are so much cooler than keyways!

Or paint.

Or sheet metal.

Or parts interchange

Or quality control

Or

Or

Yep.

Well.

Generally speaking, mb, volvo, and Saab cornered the market on all of those.

If i followed this crap right, the PCM does in fact control the alternator output through diodes in the PCM. Why? No one will ever know. What Im seeing in this chaotic hellscape is those diodes in the PCM are bad.

Honda did the same thing on the Fit. They shut off the alternator for periods of time, causing the car's electrical system to be run by the battery. Why? Because when the alternator is charging, it creates drag on the engine, reducing power and fuel economy. So, to get better gas mileage the alternator only charges the battery. The battery runs the entire electrical system, and when the battery has a predetermined charge, the alternator cuts in, charges the battery, and then cuts out.

But uhhh alternators don't have clutches... so that makes no sense.

Its turning anyway no matter what, the drag from the electrical load resistance is inconsequential.
