Chevy spring swap hardware?

He also replaced the 6 bolts that hold the leaf springs to the hangers and shackles. Ex: 1 for the front of the leaf spring, 1 to hold the shackle to the rear of the leaf spring and one to hold the shackle to the rear hanger. So multiply that by two since there are two spring packs and you'll need 6- 4" long 14mm bolts and all the hardware for them.

Some guys cut the rear body mount but instead I cut a piece of 3/16th plate to but up to the body mount, drilled 3 holes and trimmed the spring hanger on the front side to clear the bump on the body mount. Then I drilled a new hole. I essentially plated the frame and I didn't cut the body mount which kept the frame from losing any strength.

Got any pics of that? I was thinking of doing something like that rather than trimming it as well.

None on my phone. I'll hop on my laptop tonight and see if I can find them.

I just went through my laptop and i dont have any pics of the leaf swap. I had them in my profile but now most of my pictures are missing or theres a thing saying i moved or deleted them. Idk wth is going on. I can take pics for you if I get off duty this weekend if that isnt too late.

It probably won't be to late. No rush. I still need new bushing and all the bolts/nuts. And I won't be in the city to get anything this week so its all good man. Take your time.

Also what size shocks are you using? I've ready anything from 10" travel to people using 14" travel.

I'm looking at maybe FOA 12"

I'm using 12" shocks right now. They're maxing out at full flex though. I built a cross member and mounted the shocks on top of the axel tilted to the center of the truck. I'm going to cut the CM out and rebuild it and tilt the shocks outboard so less travel is needed and they don't max out. I'll do that when I swap the truck over to efi since I'll have the bed off to swap out the sending units in the tanks.

So if I use stock mounting points, and stock shackles etc, 12-14 would be best? Just trying to get all the parts ready to go before I start the swap so the trucks not down more than a day or two.

I'm not sure on that. It's been a while since I did the swap and I can't remember much about the shocks. I do know the stock axel mounts won't like up with the rangers stock mounting points. You'll have to cut them off and reposition them.
