for some reason i have always thought they are a rebadged import... they look too much like a yota to be a chevy

edit: hahaha, just found this on wikipedia
The Daewoo Kalos is a subcompact automobile manufactured by GM Daewoo (the South Korean subsidiary of General Motors) introduced in 2002 and marketed globally in 120 countries — prominently as the Chevrolet Aveo[1] (ah-VAY-o).[2]

I don't care for the look of it, it just looks like a cheap car that will fall apart in 10 years... I'd MUCH rather get soemthing like a Carolla, or a Mazda 3 or something. Something that has a slightly higher cool factor, lol.

In others I probably wouldn't drive one, let alone buy one.. (It being a Chevy has nothing to do with that)

Yeah GM does that, just like Metro/Firefly.

The Geo Metro was a subcompact marketed from 1989 through 2001 as a joint effort of GM and Suzuki. The Metro evolved through three generations under numerous nameplates and variously offered during its 13 year production as a 2-door convertible, 3-door hatchback, 4-door sedan, and a 5-door hatchback. The Metro was itself a rebadged Suzuki Swift.

They are horrible... my dad had one for a rental last year.. and i know someone who had one spontaneously combust sitting in his driveway..

worthless $hit box. Ask me, I know.

my grandpa has one and hates it, they told him he would get 35mpg and thats with the auto....hes getting 20/25. he got a bit more from his 90 ranger 2.3 5speed 2wd. (wich is now my ranger rockcrawler lol) its cheap, has barely enough power to move out of its shadow and its diffacult to see out of. he said he will trade it for a ranger or b2 lol

I saw one in the showroom while I was getting a part for my truck. The window sticker mileage looked kinda bad for such a tiny thing. Maybe it was the 8.1 liter auto version.

ya those 8.1L get pretty shitty mileage. (I would love to see that)

My friends sister just got one in a blue/ aqua color, ughhhh...

I dont know why anyone would buy one, theres way better choices out there. I just look at it and I dont even have words for it.

I think the last time I had a Aveo in the garage. All it is a re-bagde Kia. It had the Chevy touch, but under the hood was a Kia engine.

I would go for a Honda Civic or Toyota Coralla. As is, I actually ride a 06' Kawasaki KLX250s dualsport for my commuter. Nothing beats a fun ride while still getting 65mpg.

It's not a KIA, it a GM Daewoo.

The Ford Expire was a KIA. Hyundia bought KIA ten years ago during the Asian collapse. Ford had to increase it's interest in Mazda at the same time to prevent Mazda from being taken over.
