My credo
I need more sleep.
Well, I was looking at some wheel spacers for my truck and before I buy something I always will look things up on the internet. Now ebay sells many wheel spacers, but their cheap. And from what I read, cheap is bad. Or is it? I've seen many different views but I am a bit scared to get some, last thing I would want would for my wheels to go bye bye while on the highway. I don't know where to find any other high quality ones besides Spidertrax, but those require some grinding which I don't want to do. So what does everyone think about wheel spacers on ebay? I mean what would you guys recommend?

The CNC machined ones on Ebay with the studs pressed in are pretty good. I ran 3/4" ones on my Fox body that I converted to 5-lug and put 17" Bullitt wheels on. No problems at all with them.

I ran the rigged up Offroad ones. They were great. Think they have an ebay store.

A quick question, they won't affect my steering right? As in they wont cause the tires to rub or hit anything? I'm gonna go with the 2 inch. It says these will fit my Ranger, and if you guys think there good, I'm going to go ahead and buy them, also I'll use some blue locktight when I put them on. I did some more reading and people have said they put more stress on the lugs and stuff. But I think that's a bit bs, doesn't really make sense to me how.

I would put it at full lock and measure. I had no issues with my 04 but it was lifted 6in. They actually made it ride and handle better going from stock wheels and tires with no spacers to same set up with.

Well I cranked my torsion bars so that the front is only 1/2 of an inch down from the back. I have 31 inch tires. But I don't think it will, because its going out, which will give it more room. I was thinking that the tire would hit the side, but it doesn't without the wheel spacers so if they were sticking out further they wouldn't.

actually it does put more stress on the stock wheel bolts and the bigger you go the worse it gets, the biggest i recommend is 3/4 inch and nothing more and most on here would also recommend 3/4 and nothin more

Ahh, there so tricky. I'm going with the 2 inch ones, I think that as long as you torque them when you rotate your tires every once in awhile will be fine, some blue or red loctite will help. I did realize like you said they do. I wasn't really thinking before, but I guess it would be like having a heavier wheel.

My brother had 2" up front and 3" in the back, on his 94 exploder, w/ a leveling kit.

Had to trim the back of the front fenders.

They were occasionally checked, and never came loose. But they did cause lots of frontend issues.

Causes stress on ball joints and stuff up front. Same as larger tires... more weight with tires but its more leverage with spacers

Just be careful using sacers and only use the correct ones made correctly. I have never used spacers over 1/2 inch wide (once on one of my early 60's Broncos). 2 inces is a bit overkill. Wheel spacers can ruin wheel bearings. Just lift the truck the right way and use the right wheels with the correct offset and you will have no issues. Torsion bars load up the suspension when you place them to the max. It is ok to crank them up a bit but just never to the max.

Stop messing around, the best big spacer is a D 44, or run the right wheels. :D

I am keeping the Rat stock, with the D 35 and the 8 inch rear. But after driving on D 44s for 25 yrs, I can see why they are retro-fitted. The SJ Jeep guys upgrade to D 60s so they would be a good source for a D 44 :D

They've been maxed out for a while now... But there going all the way back down, so I can put on my lift kit.
