Cheap Truck Challenge

I bought my truck for 900! thank you people from trailer park by Cleveland. i don't see why they can't roll the budget. if i had 4k to spend on a truck and i got one for 1k ...i'd spend 3k on upgrades.

/e : but i think i need to replace the front axle..and i need 2 new front tires as they're kinda getting worn.

well I bought my truck for 2900, so that would leave me with 1124 for the rest...guess I'll be disqualified. My goal for my SAS/4wd conversion is to not exceed $1299. That of course does not include tires and wheels (probably another $2200). So far I have $260 towards it, but I have a decent amount bought for that. I think I'm still on pace.

I just bought mine for $800. 94 ex 4x4. Wait till you see where I'm at for less than 4k.

$1500 for a cleanish 3rd gen (leaving $500 for additional parts)

$300 for Aussie locker
$200 for Ford 8.8 with 3.73s (assuming the front is also 3.73)
$500 for 4" rough country lift
$400 for used 33's and wheels off of Craigslist
$250 for Warn 37780's
$200 for additional parts (bushings, bolts, etc.)

^ This would make a fairly reliable DD/Weekend warrior and for $3,350

At this point with Rangebe 2.0, I was only in it for a TOTAL of 1100$.....2.3 L, 5 speed, welded diffs front/rear. Thing was a BEAST for what it was, and the cheapest/best fun Ive had to date.

Well Im sure your rig would out-perform mine by 10 fold Mud Addict.

I doubt my truck would last 14 seconds into any competition. LOL

(unless its a 2wd run-to-the-store race)
