It's not anything hardcore yet but I am right around 1,500 and very capable the way it sits. I paid 200 for the truck and it came with a set of 31" m/t's(about 30% tread left) on jeep rims...i took the tires off and scrapped the rims for 70. I had found a set of Mastercraft m/ts 31x10.50 with only a couple hundred miles on them for 150 a year before so I had these put on the Ranger rims. I have bought a Lock-Right for the 7.5 at 350. I bought some coil spacers for 20. I swapped out the A4LD for a fm146 at 550 with all new clutch, pressure plate, flywheel, master/slave cylinder. I spent 120 on a sheet of steel, for the front bumper(soon to have a winch), and then various parts for the 2.9(I.E. plugs, wires, TFI module, cap, Rotor, set of gauges, tach, pro comp lights.
Then i bought a parts truck the same color for 100 that was 2wd and had a blown 2.3. I bought it strictly for the manual doors that where in better shape then mine but i stripped it down and saved alot then sold it to a junker for 50.

looks good,i plan to put a black grille in my 83.just like the way it looks.

i just sanded and painted mine...it was chrome.

It's only 1/8 but double plated across the bottom for a winch and gusseted alot.

i like it a lot, i'm doing a similar budget build on my 87.

Nice looking truck! I would suggest seeing if you can find a D35 front end out of an Explorer or later model Ranger and upgrade the front. Keep up the good work.

that is in near future plans....there is one at the local pick n pull for 75, rotor to rotor including radius arms but it has real high gears...so im kinda on the hunt for a 3.73 centersection that is within driving distance...besides im down to one spare hub(only thing that seems to break)

Parkin' Lot Pimpin'

Body lines started to look a little bad(top of bed was about six inches to the outside of cab) so i decided not to go all the way onto the car. Plus the sway bar was still connected. I ripped the right rear cab mount bolt through the floor when I went to the Big Nasty near Evansville, and have'nt got around to fixing it yet.
