Cheap lift

Safely? How much lift? You have coil springs? If you only want 1- 1 1/2 inches it would be bets to go the 2 inch-3 inch body lift way. You can also use spring spacers for the front coils for about an inch. If you want a bit more I would only use taller coil springs and rear add-a-leafs. Then you have to get an alignment after the lift. Ebay has a lot of good priced lift kits for 2wd Ranger. Search your year of Ranger and see what comes up.

What is the cheapest way to lift a 2wd ranger ????

what's cheap to you? I spent under 500 for a 4 inch lift and that is cheap as hell when it comes to lifts. Then there is the I want to lift it hodge podge for pennies with JY parts lift. You can piece together springs, add a leafs, blocks, spacers, washers, for maybe a few inches. A lot more work though than saving up a few bucks....

read the forums... there are plenty of threads on here about budget boosts of both 4wd and 2wd ones. Tech library has some info, may not be what you need tho.

91? so you have TIB... washer lift will work for a little lift. Like Straycat said, eBay or some taller coils. I think you could probably make some 4wd Explorer coils fit for a little lift. Body lift is another option.

cheapest way to lift a ranger is a jack and jack stands. just saying.

ya know, the more and more I think about this... the more and more I realize the "cheapest" option is the Rough Country kit.. not a bad kit for the money but not ideal...

the best option is piecing one together slowly, leave it un-lifted till you get all the pieces and you end up with A LOT better lift. I think with gears and all, I have $900 or so in my FRONT axle and lift. However, mine is 4wd. You wouldn't have gears or anything to deal with. But steering, that's a biggie on a TTB/TIB rig
