Ok I have a 1989 single cab 4x4 5 speed 2.9 completely stock ranger. I got it to be a fun trail truck. I want to do the f150 front coils and Chevy 64 leafs with flipped shackles. My question is if I am on the right track. For the rear I want to order bell tech 6400 shackles and pull some 64 Chevy leafs at a junk yard. I want to also replace the shocks but havent been able to find a thread with shock options all i see is that people really like the rancho 9000s.
My question is what are my shock options? I do a lot of wheeling in this truck and a mix of everything.
On to the front I want to do the f150 coils but I would like to order them new. Would I be able to get even more lift with say a tough country 2in f150 front coil and if so what shocks would I need with it? And what year f150 coils am I looking for?
Or instead of the Chevy rear leafs what about f150 leafs?
Also if I'm missing anything or anyone has any other input please help thanks.
