Cell Phone Tethering

Anyone try tethering their smartphone to their computer? I just got a program that allows me to use my cell phone like a modem. I hook up my phone to the laptop with the usb cable and use the phone internet on my computer. It allows me to have internet access on my computer any place I have cell service. Pretty neat really. Taking full advantage of unlimited data whether Sprint likes it or not!

Ive been doing it for the past year. My phone is rooted and has a custom rom install and with it comes a tethering app. I also know a trick to bypass t-mobiles data throttling so I have no limit.

I use the built in wifi hotspot feature on my galaxy S2. Running a custom rom that allows tethering without a tethering plan.
