Anyone using the Cardone Remanufactured distributor recommended in the TRS Duraspark Conversion article? I have the listed 30-2691 model but I don't think it has an adjustable can. I've tried a 3/32 Allen wrench, among others, into the can but I don't feel it engaging anything.

If you have one is the can on yours adjustable?

If you feel the allen key hitting the diaphragm inside but no head to slide into then there isn't one, or key is too big, but 3/32 should be right.
If you aren't hitting the diaphragm then allen key is too short

You can return it for one that has the adjustment, it should have it

Ya, looking inside and feeling around with the Allen wrench I don't there is a way to adjust this can. That's gonna make it a bit of a problem if the vacuum advance is too much while on manifold (2150A doesn't have a ported vacuum port).

I've seen on here that there is an adjustable can you can get to replace the one you have but I don't know if they fit this dizzy.

If it is a 2.3 engine the 2.0 distributor works perfectly...I know this because I swapped a 2.3 short block into my truck and used the intake exhaust and distributor without any problems...

The part shown in the link was called a "stator" by the description I was given years ago...but the 2.0 distributor had one built in...and they cost of my replacement was about the same as the cost of that stator listed...but, of course, that was about 12 years ago...so probably worth a bit more by now...but you would be getting a complete distributor for the 4 banger...with vacuum advance.

Hi Mark.

I'm referring to the aftermarket distributor recommended in the TRS Duraspark Conversion guide, not the stock distributor.
