Both the same type of ranger, but I have a 1998 body lift that I want to put on a 1997. is this possible, and if so, what problems could I have to overcome?

I believe those are the years the front suspension changed from TTB to SLA.

So no, its not possible.

Guessing, I'd have to say yes. I say this because bodies can be swapped from 1983 clear through 2011 without relocating mounts as long as you stay with the same cab and bed type. The exception to this is a regular cab, they grew three inches longer in 98 on both the cab and frame, but the body mounts should still work.

3 inch blocks are all the same the provided hardware is going to be different you might have to take a trip to the hardware store for longer bolts
