Hmmmm tried to help you find some info on "a good vehicle to get a 60 out of" and you give me shit for it. Good luck getting help from anyone with attitude like yours.

EDIT: this page tells you EVERYTHING you could ever want to know about the differences on all Dana 60's.

Look for a 78-79 F350 4x4, and 1986- i believe 1992 were all kingpin Dana 60s
and 92 to 97 were balljoints. Anything from a superduty were metric.
Kingpins are better , but balljoints are not to far behind.

I will argue balljoints are not weaker than kingpins especially if you start comparing axle to axle. The main reason people prefer the F250 "snofighter" D60's is the pumpkin is moved over more and king pins are easier for most people. The balljoint knuckles on the superduty axles are physically stronger than the kingpin ones and 99-04 have histeer options out there.

Out of curiosity have you ever personally seen a balljoint D60 broken at the balljoint? I sure as hell have seen one sheer at the kingpin.

As for can a Ranger roll around on 40's...I have 39.5's, couple dozen other guys have anything from 39's to 42's. I would recommend searching here and pirate for some of the build threads with one tons.

**** it since you don't know how to search there are several 1 ton swaps. If you cannot figure out how to add 40's to a 1 ton swap give up now.

You should use a 7.5" ranger rear end with welded gears for your 40s. As for the front a Dana 28 should be just fine. It's like golf, the lower the Dana number the better it is.

I can see the first post on pirate now........

I predict the first answer will go something like drink bleach or F a blender.

Word of warning. Search pirate. Don't just start posting.
