Can I plug an ECM in without fully mounting it.

Hi guys, question, is it possible to plug in a recently purchased remanufactured ECM without fully mounting it first to test it out? I know it has to be grounded so I'll run a separate ground.

Should work as long as it's grounded as you said. Usually they have a little ground wire somewhere on it or near it.
