Cali SMOG Removal

Here's the rub... my son purchased a 1984 Ford Ranger with a 2.8l V6 and Manual Transmission. The PO said he had rebuilt the carburetor... yeah, right!
He had also done a lot of "other" work to the truck as far a wiring went... yay, me!

I got the truck home (with a little help from my F150 and a tow strap) and began working on the truck to get it to start without having to use starting fluid. Finally accomplished that after repairing all of the vacuum hoses on the motor. That is how I found out this is a California truck.

My question is, "What all do I need to eliminate from the truck to make it just Federal SMOG (we live in Missouri)?"

I intend to do a Duraspark conversion later, but right now I need this truck driving down the road (he is using my car for work transportation right now).

Any Vacuum Diagrams you know about would be a great start and other knowledge you have would help. Thanks in advance.

That would be up to your state. California smog used to be almost the same as other states.
The vacuum lines go with the computer and a DuraSpark conversion will eliminate the need for most of them. Lots of info in the tech pages of this site.

I'd check with your state first; a competent smog station could help you.
