does anyone know the steps to bypassing the heater core lines, with possible pics? my ranger is an 89, 2.3, no ac, no ps
thanks.

easy way is hook the two lines together.. lol but u can traces the hoses n take one off n jus use one hose..

i was looking at the lines right now and heres what i think. disconnect the line that runs from the water neck to the heater core, take the other line from the heater core and connect it to the water neck. how does that sound?

That would work rather well Dezert dreaing. I have done that exact fix on several many semis on the side of the road so they could get back to the shop, and I could replace their heater cores.

I hate to sound like your Father, but.......you have the ranger that is real easy to replace the core......20 minutes and $20 for the part.then you will at least have defrost even if you dont care about the heat..........
