I'm too lazy too read everything....
but I used a regular cab tank in place of my SuperCab (1995) tank when I put the doubler in. I also trimmed/reworked the tank skid plate mount around the front mount. It gets into the driveshaft still when the truck is all twisted up. It was also an issie before the doubler when I went to the one piece rear shaft.
Also I was told or read years ago the 6 gear planetary was for NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness) issues not actually a strength problem.
Id have to look at my 97 Single Cab Shorty and see if the tank would clear or not.
