I bought it Friday 11-18-2011....

I bought a one owner 2002 Ford Ranger Edge "Plus". It has the 3.0L v6 engine. It is the regular cab 2dr model. Has Hi/Low 4 Wheel Drive. The truck itself has 148k miles but runs smooth and strong still. I have been beating the shit out of it lmao

I bought the truck bone stock besides the soft bed cover and the tail light covers.

Goals:
3" body lift
3" Suspension lift
35" tires
Brush Guard
Winch
Upgraded beadlock wheels
Lockers
Adding custom sub box
Paint Job (cant stand blue)
Rear roll bar w/lights
Front windshield visor
Tint windows
Upgrade to dual exhaust
Tune the truck

11-18-2011 - I purchased my first actual pick up truck lol.

11-22-2011 - I installed the steering wheel cover and vent visors. Got new fog lights and wiper blades. Also K&n drop in filter and an oil change.

11-24-2011 - I installed all new 6"x8" speakers. Front and rear. Thanks to a good black Friday deal. Sounds much better just need a custom sub enclosure to squeeze in more bass.

12-01-2011 - I ordered new tires!

12-04-2011 - I installed the first set of driving lights on the truck. I ran them independently so they operated solo by themselves.

12-08-2011 - Kuhmo Road Venture MT 265-75-16 tires were installed and I removed the mud flaps. Also raised the torsion bars about an inch total.

12-09-2011 - New upgraded brakes all around. Rotors, pads and lines.

12-11-2011 - Ordered forum decals for TRS and RF. Also bought premium memberships on both forums.

I will be updating this with photos and updates as to when I am doing things to the truck.

First night with the truck at my car clubs weekly gathering.

I thought all Ranger Edge trim trucks came in the 4x4... Guess its only the Edge "plus" model... idk

Had a break freeze up on me last night while out having some fun. Put all new pads and rotors on today and rear drums as well. Possibly getting a brush guard off of craigslist...

I've never seen an Edge with that grille. My xl had one of those and I swapped it for an Edge honeycomb one. Cool truck. Love those tires.

Cool truck!!
i always wanted a reg cab 4wd Edge. but instead im building my own machine haha
and yeah, id get a honeycomb grille, it looks cooler with those imo.

Cant wait to see when u start gettin stuff for it.

Thanks guys. So far I am loving the truck. Been looking at a lot of things to get. I just spent too much $ on the tires lol. I love them though.

The "EDGE" was just an appearance package. They could be ordered with any drivetrain. A really rare EDGE ranger is a single cab 4.0L SOHC 4x4 with 4.10 gears and vinyl interior. I looked for ever and ended up settling on my current truck which is everything listed except it is a 2 door extended cab.

With the 3.0L you probably have a 7.5" rear end. I'd look into an 8.8 rear if you don't already have one. There is a lot more aftermarket support for the 8.8 (especially with lockers).

The tires look nice! Have you tried them out offroad yet?

Yes, I went right out to my local spot to test the wheels out. They throw dirt and mud far lol. You can feel them grip and I have no complaints. great investment. I had to trim the fender and bumper a little because they did rub with tight turns. Besides that no problems.

Also I have been looking at lockers.

I love the vinyl floor.

What rear end do you have? The 7.5 (found behind most 3.0Ls) really only has one option for a locker (lock-rite). I've used this locker before and it will tell you its there! lol, but I use the powertrax no-slip now and love it. It only says hello when in parking lots turning tight.

That really rare one you described sounds a lot like that one I was going to look at instead of mine that I have now.

Anyways I have the 8.8 rear and only have the 3.0
