Just wanted to know if anybody out there has a easy way to setup the factory parking brake cables for a 8.8 with rear discs to the stock front cable? Just want to see what people have done with these. Thanks

Hook the ex axle end to the b2 cable.

Yeah got that, just wanted to see how others mounted the cable brackets for reference.

Stare at the explorer setup.

Make it like that.

Cable clamps and some of the sploder cable to adjust for length.

yeah, that... I couldn't get the stock cable splice apart at the junkyard when I grabbed parts so I cut it in half or something, don't remember...

Anyway, I bolted a cable mount bracket to the frame with one bolt in a random hole that was there already, made some key hole angle bracket thingies to go to the cable ends and put a piece of 1/4-20 threaded rod between the two and that's it... of course my placement was a bit off and one of my brackets caught a body mount and wouldn't release (or was it set? I don't remember) all the time so I had to make a skid for it...

I'll see if I can grab a picture tomorrow or Wednesday, it's fairly simple with a drill, grinder and a vise... I got the idea years ago from someone, ADSM or 4x4 junkie I think...

As promised, as per how this week has been going , late... I'd forgotten but the nuts in the middle are just two butted together so I could turn the nylock's on either end. As you might be able to see I used a stock bracket in the back and the dual cable splice thing for the two cables that was on the sploder then two of those simple brackets holding the two cables together with the allthread, the plate on the body mount was because it was getting stuck one way or another. It's set in the picture but not hard enough for the rig to stop rolling on a very slight incline so I need to adjust it better...

Oh, and for you rust belt peeps, that's a 30 year old frame that's been neglected for at least the last 15 years, I did rattle can it 15 years ago but I didn't put time in it... and don't ask what that bracket is right there, I have no idea, was there when I got the frame, hasn't been in my way enough to take it off...

My frame looks about like that and it's only 9 years old.
