broken skyjacker 6" lift leaves [FR36S]

The OL leaf wasn't crooked for any length of time was it? (I know SJ leaves are well-known for this).

My buddy had a leaf crack like that on his. He kept running it with the OL leaf far enough out it's ends were almost completely out from under the leaf above it.

nah, the overload has always been plumb since i installed these 2 years ago.. i never thought i'd have a problem with these..

You just have all the luck don't you...

Well, if it helps, I do believe the 2nd & 3rd leaves in Explorer springs might work to replace the broken ones if you want a quick cheap fix. Explorer springs do have a bit more arch to them than Ranger ones, being designed for SUA (you could also try Durango or S-10 leaves).

unfortunately, after 10 hours of driving, and $35 in gas, i'd only be saving $14.. which i would spend on food during the trip, lol.. wish you were a lot closer!

That SJ's (the ones you already broke) now you do know that's per pack. The set part# doesn't have an "s" on the end.

Might be out on a limb, but how about having a spring shop making you a custom set?

I paid 420$ for a set from Alcan Spring with military wrap, center pin wherever I wanted, and they set it up for any additional weight I might carry. Mind you, this was a few years ago, but came it at $500 shipped up to Alaska for the set. Took about 3 weeks to make when all said and done. Very nice spring. My brother was so happy with the way mine turned out and sick of breaking james duff leafs that he ordered a custom set for his BII also.

Thats crap those SJ leaves failed after only 2 years. I was thinking about getting a set of 6" leaves but now have reservations about going SJ.

Of course I don't live where it snows so maybe I should take the chance???

Yea I have the same springs SJ 6inch lift and my driver side broke. SkyJacker sucks!
