My credo
A legend to the old man, a hero to the child...
I read somewhere that 9 inch drums are finned and 10 inch drums are not.

Can anyone verify?

That's my understanding also...

Exception... Aerostar 10 inch drums are also finned.

You could always upgrade to 10” drums… my blue 2000 Ranger came from the factory with a 7.5” rear and 10” drums. Just a matter of swapping backing plates and all the brake hardware. I ended up swapping the whole axle for an 8.8 with limited slip years ago.

I'd just measure them before ordering parts. I don't recall ever seeing finned 9" drums.

To late.

My bronco also has finned drums, and those are 9 inch. Partially why i double checked. My ranger has a higher GVWR then the bronco lol...despite being probably 4 or 500 lb lighter

Meh. It stops good enough for me
