Bombardier Rotax High Output 800 ATV or a Polaris Sportsman 500?

I would go with the Bombardier. Solid quad top to bottom for pretty much any type of riding. I have always been impressed with the power and comfort of the Bombardier's in comparison to any Cat, Polaris, or Honda I've ridden. A few buddies of mine have owned Sportsman 500's and I was never excited by the power or quality. They are scrap in my opinion.

My personal preference is Arctic Cat, have had them since day one, both manual and auto. Great for mudding, towing, or just pissing around.

By the way Toms994x4,

02 AC 500 Belt Drive

:thefinger: :)

lmao!
It's all good man. I've got a quad dealer right by my house that sells Honda Suzuki and Arctic Cat. (HSA for short) All the guys in there swear by Honda because they don't have the belt drive. I'm not saying they're bad bikes, but they get more Arctic Cats and such in the shop because of the belt drive. Honda FTW:icon_thumby::thefinger:

I'd go with a Honda if I could afford one. All the ranchers back home (Nebraska) swear by 'em, including Dad. He bought his first Fourtrax back in the early '90's and is still beatin on it. He now has another Fourtrax and a 4x4 Rancher. They just keep going!:headbang:

I have an 06 Rancher ES 4x2. I go through just about all the chit the 4x4's go through. The 06 cost right around $5,000 here. I was lookin at gettin a Foreman 4x4 last year but I couldn't afford it. It woulda cost $6700.

I do agree with Honda too, I have a 97 Recon 250 at my parents house that I absolutly beat the piss out of, and it comes back for more. Had it since brand new and never been in the shop or torn down at my parents house.

I haven't changed the oil in mine for about 1.5 years now, and about 1000 miles...nice pics of the AC, I was up at the shop and I can't see the pics when i'm there.

I vote honda for flat out reliability, I've put over 5000miles on my 97' foreman 400 in the last few years and NEVER had an issue.

Now, my buddy has an 09' AC MudPro 700 and the fact I can roll under it on a creeper as it has 14" of ground clearance stock is awesome, but the EFI light that won't stay off after a few trips back to the dealer to get thrown on the computer and a front locker that won't engage in temperatures below 10*C is kind of a pissoff.

Of the two your looking at though, I'd definitely get the Bombardier as I've never been on a trip and made it more then 3 days without towing a Polaris back to camp for a repair of some sort.
