So people in my area are asking 10k and up for bronco II's now BWHAHAHAHAHA! I guess they think it is going to be a collectors item becuase of the new Bronco. Now I love my BII, but it ain't worth no 10k and never will be lmao

They are gaining in popularity and have for some time.

Basic 4wd's are not coming off assembly lines en mass anymore. You want to spend $30-$70k for a new Jeep/Bronco or $10k for a nice clean older one?

I've seen this recently. It seems the 89-90 front end is more sought after.
There's a gorgeous one in red on autotrader which I'd love to have, but not for an asking price of near 25k!

I was checking out the "value" of my 89' now that it's all fixed up and painted......the spread is amazing. $500-$800 for a parts vehicle and up to $5500 for a driver that needs TLC.....saw a 90' with less than 30K miles and they wanted $17K. I figure they are worth what someone will pay for one.

Cant agree guys, the BII is junk unless you build the snot out of it. I love mine, but if I had 10k I would buy something else.

Junk compared to what? The only things better are maybe a CJ 5/7, a 78/79 FSB or nice square body K5....any of those are gonna be in the same price range.

BII's are far from junk.

Yes, I too have seen Bronco II's listed for stupid amounts of money. People are considering them clasics now. I got into Bronco II's 20 years ago and they were dirt cheap and everywhere. Parts were plentiful as well. The wrecking yards were full of them. So 2 years ago when I bought my current project 84 for nearly 2k I had a hard time with it. But it ran, drove and had a plow that I needed.

Bronco II's are not and never were junk. My rock stock 1984 still on the road 36 years after it was born is a testament of that. Well it's actually not currently on the road because I 'm in the middle of swapping in a 302 but I drove it into my pole barn where I'm working on it.

lol junk compared to any Toyota....its on now lol
Lmao.

Atleast rangers didnt have to be recalled for frame rot.

And the 2.8/2.9 would hand a 20/22r its ass on a silver platter. The only advantage yota had was 2 solid axles, after they went IFS in 85 they were truely junk. Keep the bonsai haulers in tokyo where they belong.

I had an 82' CJ7 a couple of years ago (258 I6 with a three speed manual) and it couldn't make it up the little hill to my shop if there was snow on the ground. Nice knobby tires, low range or high.....it just wouldn't make it......the Bronco 2 had bald tires when I got it in January and it just drove right up that snowy hill in 2wd........if it had a decent sized motor with a decent auto trans I would like it even better (a 99'+ 3.8 L V6 with 4R70W would be nice).

Mud tires suck in snow, my Ranger on mud tires couldn't do in 4wd what my F-150 on AT's could do in 2wd.

I had BFG M/Ts on a 2wd 83 F150 and got stuck in an inch of snow.

I got BFG A/Ts on my 77 F250 2wd and it will clobber through any snow i need it too.
