that was also within my (a real world reasonable) price range, I joined the dark side to see what real off-road capability feels like. I still have three Ranger's on the road and will never give up on my love affair with the 1st gens..

When you said real offroad capability I was expecting you to say that you got a Bronco Sasquatch.

Well garage lifts aren't nessarally considered on road haha. Jk nice looking heep oh I mean Jeep 🤣 congrats

Next thing you know, you'll start collecting ducks ;brownbag;

care to post a current pic???
the green leaves in the background has me curious where you found it.

I can't hate on Jeeps, the factory is about 6 miles east me. this area is awash in duckies.

I don't really know Bird... but i know enough that it was likely a good deal.

Not sure if congrats or condolences are in order just yet. Time will tell that story...

Good luck with the new rig...

I had been looking at new Bronco's, and I LOVE the two door models, but I just could not convince myself it's a good idea to go that deep in debt for a vehicle. But the front and rear locking axles on this Jeep should make it as capable as a new Bronco, and it's nearly paid off already.

The Jeep started life in Texas and then moved to Georgia. It then went to Michigan where the buyer had it treated underneath with Krown and then drove it less than 500 miles. Dude was made of money. Had a new Vette and a brand new HUGE Hummer EV, plus other vehicles in his fleet. His hobby is buying vehicles and driving them for a few months and then trying something new all over again.

The factory paint underneath is cleaner than the paint on top. I've never seen a Jeep so rust-free if it wasn't a brand new model. Zero rust. Zero touch up painting.

As for the ducks...

Jeeps do have one serious advantage off-road IMO. Ability to run huge tires at near stock height. Should be cheaper to mod too. Everybody makes off road parts for them, and even the crappiest ones are decent.

I hear you on the price of the new Bronco... hell... any Bronco!! Happy I got into my Bronco II when I did.

The dealers around here have lots of them in the lot... and used ones too. One dealer had 5 Bronco Raptors.
