Big Block Drift Truck - Pic Heavy

After the transmission cross member situation i started mount the raised radius arm mounts before i paint them. they fit perfect but i did have to trim the edge of the front cab mounts in order for the radius arm mounts to sit flush.

I did have to enlarge one hole and drill another additional hole

tried to install the raised transmission cross member today and noticed that the holes are a bit off, so i decided to hold off on modifying it to fit correctly until i mount the motor and transmission in the spot i like, just in case i need to move the cross member farther back from the stock location.

Flip it over and put the D facing down

with the ttb/tib longer is better.

when lowered though with restricted movement its not really as critical.

you want some caster though in either case. i prefer it to be heavier.

well the plan has changed. when searching for a manual transmission for the 460 i found out that the prices are too crazy. i had a choice: $2000 for a rebuilt Ford ZF5 speed or $1700 for a 1994 f150 with a 300 straight 6 with a 5 speed, and a clean title. I chose to get the truck.

dude.

t56 the big block spend the money. LS swap a L33 ....

or the 4.2 Atlas with a front diff and go awd....

the cost of balancing and getting reliable drift power out of that slug will make a brand new t56 or tkx look like a bargain

That makes sense, but for this build i just want something that cheap, fun, starts up no matter what, and uses stock replacement drive train parts. think 5hp go kart on steroids. plus i like the challenge lol

well....you will definitely have the KEWLZ factor banging a 300....or an atlas for that matter.

and just throw all of that tib shit away and run a crown vic front suspension setup and wide body the beast....this easily allows you to put the engine and weight right to your advantage... move the wheels forward a few inches and make fat fenders....it would be a beast.

so.....i say offy style intake and aces efi....

or build a bread box and get a pump and injectors and turbo from

though stepping up to a holley terminator x or haltech to run it might be ideal.

.. wait.. are you actually swapping to the 300?

What is the new plan? I'm on the edge of my seat....

Looks like being a smartass kinda backfired on me, my apologies 😋

Definitely got more interesting though! Hell yeah.
