Lots out there. Which ones to avoid for bad material? Which do you like? :icon_confused:

02 Ranger 2.3L. Rarely towing #1500 local and on the level. Thanks.

LUK. Had mine since 2002 behind a pushrod 4.0. Have used it for daily driving, plowing snow, towing a small travel trailer, skidding logs, towing my dump trailer hundreds of trips across the yard, 4-wheeling and moving trailers that my 165" wheelbase truck can't manuever. Still going strong and I use it on a very steep hill mostly since I live on a very steep hill. When this one dies, if it ever does, I'll put the same thing back in it.

Who sells them at the best price?

There was another thread recently, and they were saying the stock 4.0 clutch is pretty good, and fits behind the other engines. Any opinions on that?

LUK makes nearly everything easily available. Ask for a clutch kit at your favorite auto parts store. Look at the disk. LUK usually stamps there name on it.

LUK at Autozone

Thats pretty much all they will sell. $302 for the 4 piece kit.

Thanks guys. Seriously. I mean it.

I assume you mean the one that includes the slave cylinder. If not, it's a rip-off.

You will also need a reman flywheel (or have yours resurfaced). The cost of a reman is often very comparable to the cost of a resurface ('cause that's what a reman is for a flywheel).

I have a zoom clutch kit and since I got it I have had good luck of course I haven't done any offroading what so ever. the only thing I can say is that it the pedal is stiff other than that no problems.... yet
