I lifted my ranger 4 inches but I dont have the drop pitman arm, which one is the best one? 2in drop or 4? and is it completely 100% required?

Well, it seems only logical that the pitman arm should match the height of your suspension lift... But I'll cut you some slack as the suspension industry itself hasn't been able to figure this one out either.

Skyjacker pt# FA600 would be the arm you want (and is the only actual 4" arm I know of).

Hope that helps

because it's the same pitman arm used on an F350 super duty, it's BEEFY... but works, other than the caster issue my truck drives really well for being lifted 6" or so...

The shorter arms are F-150/250/350-spec too (they all have the same steering box).

I wish I knew why the vast price difference between it and the short #FA400 arm, there's maybe 30% more steel used to make the thing. Even in spite of that though, it'll still pay for itself many times over just in the wear it saves on your tires.

yeah... it's expensive but is the best way to use stock steering pieces.
other option is the 2" drop arm and modified superrunner steering or stonecrusher steering

Here's my steering with the FA600, 6" coils and washer spacers, if you look close you'll notice it's about 3" wide in the middle maybe more:

PS: It's less gooey under there now that I rebuilt the engine...

I was going to ask if you were driving with oil leaking like that. My wife sees a small drop under our truck and next thing I know I am rippin geverything apart to reseal anything that looks like it may leak. (she is german and they are big on the not polluting the world thing, so much as you can get tickets for vehicles leaking oil.)

It was bad, leaking everywhere... the bad rings weren't helping anything :) now the only thing that's seeping at all is the power steering pump shaft seal, will address that tomorrow... Another note, that pic was before I aligned it so the camber is a bit off...
