2.3L ('83-'97) New '93 xl project. Best longevity ideas?

Thanks all on the longevity issue. I probably won't do extensive engine motor honey or cleaners.

I knocked rust off the frame and underside, sprayed OSPHO several times, then Rustoleum Rubberied undercoat. On the underside of the bed, which was removed and inverted, I slathered it with a mix of roofing cement and gasoline and lacquer thinner, so it's got a heavy coating of goop.

I usually run 15W40 T4 Rotella in my '02 JettaTDI my '68 F-250, 1940 9N tractor, '61 Cub, Cub Cadet and Craftsman lawnmowers and most other stuff. My wife's 2015 TSI Jetta gets synthetic.
They all get regular oil changes...often seasonal whether they have run much or not.

I ran a fleet of Mercedes 300SD's to over 400,000 miles so all good here.

Ooh noooo....

Rubberized undercoating is the worst thing you could put on there.

Well ok,then what would youuse unter the cab? Spraying waste engine oil used to be the treatment....
Lay down the tarps and go at it....

Allgood. I'll drain a bit of oil and try ATF before oil change.
I've tested mileage...I have a tall ratio rear end and 215/75-15's so my odometer reads 90% of the true mileage. Trip to Vermont and the Massachusetts got me 27 and 30 mpg @ 60mph. Speedometer reads about 8% LOW...did the math and a stopwatch on the trips to calibrate.

Having trouble with clutch master...damned aftermarket rod broke off at the pedal pin. That was a fun episode...had to hot wire the start switch wth a bent key ring....lurch starting is not good for the starter, but gets you home....

Now I can't get the line off the slave cylinder to bleed the new unit. Trying everything.
