Drive shaft slip joint movement

I asked at a place that rebuilds drive shafts, and their price was more than a new one from NAPA because I work at NAPA, so I get a discount. After I heard the prices, I mentioned it is a aluminum drive shaft and he said they can't weld the ends on old aluminum because it deuterates with age. Well SS check is already gone for this month so I will have to wait until next month.

Well, I just ordered the drive shaft from Amazon, $622.00 with free shipping. I couldn't get it any cheaper from NAPA because they changed their employee discount.
Does anyone know the difference between the drive shafts for the FX4 level 1 and level 2? I have seen the one I ordered at different places that say it won't work on a level 2.
