bedliner floor

^^ wow, i really like mine. but mine is colored the ford ranger "sand" and light in color. maybe that is the difference? mine doesn't get hot and it is quieter. but as said, mine is covered with carpeting, etc.
if you use a rubber mat in any part of the country where the humidity is high and there's lots of rain and/or snow, take it out often and let everything dry really good. the rubber traps moisture under it and leads to rust in the floor if there is no protection.

I think after spending all the on on sound deadener and rhino lining it would be cheaper and easier to just get a vinyl floor. And whats the point of having carpet on top of rhino lining?

hey are some pics. around the drivers seat holes is either poorly patched or rusting out. also passenger side seatmounts patched and bono. uglllyyy. and a hole in the floor by drivers side seatbelt mount.

where i live, 7 months of winter type driving leads to tons of road salt, sand, etc. coming into the cab on the bottom of your shoes. also, at temps ranging down to -30F, who wants their feet on a cold floor?
i use carpet remnants and cut to fit for each side. cheap and when they get real bad, i just toss them out and cut new ones. good insulation for the winter, don't have to be cleaned-just replaced, and adds another layer of sound deadening. that's why i have carpeting on top of my bed liner.

new to the ranger station i have an 83 ranger 2.6 5 spd with a three inch lift and flow master exhaust its pretty hard to have a normal conversation while driving down the road. what im saying is its pretty loud and there are some holes in the floor board im planning on covering up the holes and welding new peaces in there would the spray on bedliner deaden the noise a bit. please let me know im about to get under way money is tight and its my school project so any ideas would really help me thanks!

i'd do the bed liner just to help prevent further rust on the floors. and do at least 2 coats. get it as high on the inside firewall and rear wall as you can and over the sides under the trim pieces. i have no regrets whatsoever about mine. you can cover it up with anything you like, carpet, rubber mat, etc. the sound deadener does work and carpet over that should help considerably with the noise. if you're on a budget, that stuff can be expensive, so maybe some good remnant carpet with an attached foam pad cut to fit will work. good luck with your project and:

I am kind of stuck

Last week we went wheelin and I got stuck in big mud hole, cab filled with rancid water, after we got home it got stinky and mildewey inside so I tore out 24 year old rubber mat ,scraped off alot of black gummy stuff on passenger side ,then poured GASOLINE all over the interioer :icon_rofl: Hey it got rid of the mildew. We were going to rattle can some elcheapo LOWE'S bed liner .This is stricktly a trail rig that sits at work til we go wheelin' but I need some advice here as the black stuff on the pass side is not comin up too easy-please reccomend air tool and or attachment and where to get said tool .This is the second time I have filled cab with muddy water so I do not want carpet or matt:icon_confused:

hey thanks for posting when i got my truck all it was was a metal floor in there no carpet or black stuff but there was some rust, so my shop teacher made me get a 5.3/8 brush on the end of a grinder i tore the rust right off and left clean steel haha' im waiting to put down some cheapo bedliner too

i pulled all my carpet about 1 1/2 years ago and put that junk from duplicolor down. The material did not keep its texture very long at all and made things alot louder in the cab while driving. If you have the ranger issue of water commin in behind the dash as most of them seem to have, its a great fix to prevent the carpet from molding up and rusting out the floor even more. I mite make one more attempt at coating the floor so at least there is some texture and after that im done.

well I am goin to Lowes here in a few minutes -I hope they know what tool to sell me -
