This is EXACTLY what I'm looking for. Not even JC Whitney has it. The stockers on the 01 are useless. I want hooks!

If yours doesn't have those what does it have? Mine has those and that is all I have seen on ford trucks for quite some time.

'98 (maybe earlier) - mid '01 (I think) has a plastic boat style holder (drawing a blank on the name at the moment). They suck, all mine broke and have been removed.

You mean a cleat.

The cleats are great if you only use line... but if you use straps I agree they are useless

just fab something up... can't be that hard to do

regardless, that's what I'm looking for. I have one of those useless "cleat" styles.

It is when you have absolutely nothing to fab with.

Why not just take the ends of the cleats, bend them towards eachother, and weld each end together?:icon_welder:

because I have nothing to weld with. PLUS... you can't! I want hooks... nothing but real hooks, or "loops".

order the ones for the f150?

Their plastic...at least mine were, can't say for kemo's.

or order the ones for the ranger from ford. your takin like 5 bucks each. it just bent steel

These work pretty good and lay flat when your not using them.

The problem is getting those to match the bolt spacing of the originals. The ones I checked from the junkyard do not line up (mid-90's F-150 and the hoop style Ranger ones).

PM sent kemo.

Here is what i've got, it is metal (as if the rust didn't give that away). I have an idea of what I wanna do. I'd rather have something stronger than these... these are a "con" under my list of getting this particular ranger.
