After about a week of prep (whenever I got time to do it) I finally got to start rolling on the bed liner. I think she came out pretty awesome. What do you think? ImageUploadedByTapatalk1351877244.028252.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1351877257.160464.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1351877295.058758.jpg

Not bad. What was the final cost?

In the end I think it ran me about $150 or so with the bed liner kit and the spray paint. I used rustoleum professional grade bed liner. I painted the frame under the bed with rust reformer and a few spots I found randomly. Then painted the door jam and random spots where I wasn't able to roll on the bed liner with matte black. I work at a shop so all the tape, paper, air sander was all at my disposal. So that didn't cost a thing. I had to sand the entire body to scuff up the finish so the liner would stick better. Then I wiped it down with wax and tar remover. Then started with the liner. Surprisingly it only took one kit to do the entire truck when it supposed to do a full size truck bed using two coats, which I did to my truck.

Looks good. Nice and even....pretty much weather and bombproof now.

Haha... I guess you could say that. I not a big fan of shiny paint jobs. There's always gonna be an imperfection and you have to worry about people hitting you car with their doors or chips or dents. No more worries. They are gonna have to worry about hitting my truck now. Lol

I've been wanting to do this but did not want to ruin the chance of ever getting a paint job if I didn't like it , yours looks great tho. Do you think it's possible to paint bed liner with spray paint?

Yes you can spray paint it. I've seen some people even clear coat it. Because the bed liner will fade over time. So you could paint it then put a clear on it to protect the color. Or you could wait till it fades then touch it up.

Mbxmitch, I did the sliders on my Ranger in the "Raptor liner" spray liner. I think it was 150 for the kit (I think that included the special spray gun).
But anyway, they make black, and tintable. You just need a little bit of the color you want (in actually automotive paint, not spray can).

This stuff is amazing! It stayed on my roof when I rolled the truck. Mangled roof panel, only scuffed the Raptor-liner with road rash. Way better than the roll on stuff.

Why paint it? You can get bedliner in damn near any color. Spray paint will chip pretty quick.

Bedliner is like rubber and very textured. Don't bother with spray paint. Extra cost anyway

I've never seen bed liner other then line x in different colors

Tons of companies now. They can color match pretty well these days. Line X is too expensive and I don't like how stiff it is in comparison.
