What is the differance between a 1 piece design vs 2 piece design RH upper ball joint control arm on the 1998 4x4 XLT torsion suspension Right now the 2 piece design is on the truck. When I replaced it does it matter? Stores seem to sell the one piece more.

I'm not sure if you've finished it yet or not, probably, but the 1 piece is fine. I just finished mine two days ago. The dealership said they both work.

well the only difference i can really come up with is that the two piece design has a caster adjustment. why the driver side doesn't come with the two piece i don't know..

just to let you know i replaced my ball joints about 2 weeks ago and if you are going with an aftermarket upper a-arm then you will most likely need to get adjustable camber washers to have correct alignment. like this http://www.ultrarev.com/product.php?productid=38349

All and all though id say your find with either the one or two piece set-up. hope i answered your question!
