bagging the rear

I did a 7/9 drop on my 96 xcab ranger without cutting the bed, but that is about as low as you can go without heavily modifying the bed. I notched the frame about 4" from the bottom, and reinforced the frame in this area using 2" square tubing and 3/16" plate to box the frame. With this setup I towed a car trailer without any issues...

I have air-shocks, one filler. Definitely leans around corners. Someday I'll split the fillers. Only problem is they leak, and the little air tubes and fittings are not realy available at Ace Hardware!

On-board air anyone?

On your 7/9 drop how was the steering? Could you get a full crank or did it hit and rub? Sorry for the questions again. I have never dealt with dropping a truck. Im debating a 5/7 static with a notch. i-beam and coils front and, flip and blocks rear.

Steering was good, but I didn't have large rubber, either. I was running 205/50/15, and I just picked up a set of 20's when I parked it. I have some rubbing, but only at almost full lock...

Awesome deal. so i should be good at a 5/7 with 17" mach 1's.

You'll want a c notch for a 7 inch drop, but as long as you don't get some ridiculously huge tire, you should be fine.
