so after hydrolocking my 3.0, i replaced with a junkyard engine.out of an automatic truck. first thing noticed was a no start without manually jumping the solenoid. found the problem to be an open circuit from the clutch switch to the new auto trans harness and spliced a couple wires and fixed it. however, my speedometer doesnt function now? nor does my low range 4wd??? any ideas? truck is a 96 b3000. wire colors in my new at harness do vary from those typically listed, as do they with the frame side of the harness

What's the year of the motors harness you got it from and was it 4x4

I'm not sure why a hydrolocked engine required the wiring harness to be changed. It seems like all of the problems you described could have been avoided by using the truck's original harness.
