AT Transmission fluid/filter change question


I know we have moved on a bit, but I had a transmission open today, so I figured I'd snap a few pictures of the parking mechanism.

This setup isn't exactly the same as yours, but it's close enough for you to get the idea.
Thanks for the pics. I appreciated the help. Those are great pics and help me better understand how the park pawl actuating rod works.
The comment before you has be kids baffled. It looks like I should be able to see actuating rod with pan off. I just don't know if I can get to it to replace from the pan?
 
Everyone who doesn't use their parking brake should see what a park pawl looks like.

Cool pics, I never knew what they looked like. Explains why when you put it in park, the vehicle moves a hair before it catches.
