Hello, I have a 1983 Ford Ranger with a 351 Windsor and an AOD transmission. For some reason, it will not shift out of first gear (reverse works fine). I adjusted my TV cable properly with a pressure gauge, made by MAC, so I know that's not the problem. I was wondering if there are any common tricks or problems to solve this before I go cracking open the Tranny. Please let me know, thank you.

TV cable adjustment is all I can suggest.
Not sure what the "pressure gauge, made by MAC" adjustment is?

Factory setup just takes the slack out and it, and it is adjusted

TV adjustment is fine, I checked it atleast 20 times. The pressure gauge I used was made by MAC tool company, which is a very high quality gauge. I just added that to show I used a high quality tool to do the job instead of a cheap harbor freight gauge.
