My rims are flaking real bad just wondered if I could sand rough them up and paint them?? Anyone ever done this of so pics would be great

Yeah I would get news ones but I just drive it to work I have a 2500 dodge for a daily driver. Just didn't know about painting wheels that aren't steel

For chrome rims I would do sandblasting, etching, sealing and painting.

No need to sandblast or etch chrome with the plastic coat paints. They are peelable but stick great on a smooth surface without all the prep work. We did my sons rims and chrome bumpers after we saw how well it sticks and lasts on a friends truck.
