I painted my '92 this way. I thinned it, can't remember the %, and added enamel hardener + sprayed with a Harbor Freight suction can sprayer. Looked nice with a good gloss for a year or two, then dulled and oxidized really fast. With the hardener, it is fairly durable. Would have looked better had I buffed it and might have lasted better had I kept it waxed and covered. I was happy for the $100 invested.
The challenge I have now is I've decided to repaint and I will need to get this paint off and at least back to factory finish if I want to repaint with auto paint. Lots of sanding in my future....
